Kim Havanis-Campbell
Garland, Texas
Shuttermom Gold Package

I am a 36 year old mom to three absolutely wonderful children (including twin 9 year old boys and a 4 1/2 year old girl).  My boys both also happen to have Autism.  I am hoping to begin and maintain a business that could potentially support myself and my children (I'm willing to put all the work necessary into this to make it happen).  I am also hoping that in doing my photography I will fill a void for some other special needs parents (and possibly adults) who find it so uncomfortable to go into an impersonal studio and be herded thru and then ultimately end up with photographs that really aren't all that they hoped to walk away with.

Jennifer Carter
Brandon, Mississippi

Jennifer Carter
As a child, she had a love for photography. The love grew as she grew, and a small business eventually developed. With the help of Cindy Bracken, Jennifer was able to put into play the techniques and business practices that got her where she is today. Jennifer is mostly self-taught, but is educated in several areas of art and photography. After becaming a featured photographer of Shuttermom, Jennifer began using her knowledge of photography and art to grow in her business. "I want to get started on an appropriate price list and this week I am going to be working on getting some fliers printed up.  My favorite at this point has been the $3,200 Week.  It makes complete sense and most people don't stop to think of how true it is!  This is going to be one of my big projects that I work on."

"Just wanted to let you know that I have looked over "Hand Tinting" and flew right into it!  I cannot believe how easy it is.  I came home from work at 5 and have been playing with pictures ever since!  I tried hand-tinting once before with PS7 and I was using one of the paint brushes because I had no idea how else to do it!  You have given step-by-step instructions and they are very easy to follow!"

" I've been trying to think of a unique but simple name for my photography business.  I like yours...but I don't want to copy anyone.  I want something original.  I decided to go with Photo-JenniC by Jennifer Carter (JenniC for Jennifer Carter, instead of photogenic).  In one section of the package you talked about naming your business and the possibility of someone having the same name as you.  Well, of course, as I got started with my web site and began entering my meta-tags, and went back to search to make sure it took, I found more photojennic's than I could have imagined.  Even though they may not all be entered or spelled necessarily like mine, they still have the same name as my business, and do the same thing as me in some form or fashion.  This can be a challenge for someone searching for me online and finding the wrong business!"

"So you are definitely correct on that part and it is something to put some serious thought into!"

Thanks again Cindy!

Dejah Quinn
Dallas, Texas
Shuttermom Gold Package

Dejah's passion for photography started at the age of 12 when her grandparents bought her a 35mm for Christmas. She found joy making memorable moments last using the art of photography.  Her love of photography and desire to be home with her two small children led her searching for a way to work from home.  She tried selling cosmetics for a while and did well but her heart wasn’t in it.  It was her husband who saw how much photography was a part of her and persuaded her to follow her dreams.  In December of 2004 she officially opened for business.  She specializes in shooting on-location, traveling to the homes, parks, weddings and special places of her clients throughout the Dallas/ Ft Worth Texas area.   Since opening business has been steady and has provided a nice supplemental income.  Due to a change in her husbands’ job, Dejah will be relocating to Lufkin Texas soon.  Although she will be moving to a smaller town and starting all over again she looks forward to the challenges ahead.  Her goal is to see the business that she loves thrive and flourish in her new town while still maintaining her top priorities, God, family, and church. www.dejahquinn.com

Shuttermom Gold Package

My name is Vicki Byerley and I live in Southwest Missouri. I am a widowed mother of a very sassy toddler. I have always enjoyed photography and since the birth of my daughter it seems my camera is permanently attached to my hand. I have been toying around with the idea of starting my "official" home based photography business. I have always taken portraits for friends and family. I just haven't been paid for it yet. I have decided to name my business Byerley Photography. Yes, I know, not very creative but I'll save the creativity for my photography. There are so many things I would like to do with this business. Of course, I plan on starting Portrait Parties in my area, which do not exist here as of yet. Eventually I would love to open a small studio outside the home, but for now my spare room is ideal. So, I am excited about this new chapter in my life. I want to thank Cindy for giving me this opportunity. I am truly thankful! Take care of all of you.

"I have been reading the information in your Gold Package almost non-stop. It is wonderful and packed full of useful info. I have been fairly busy with sessions. The other day I actually had a session with 12 3-4 year olds. Whew! But the tips I received from the Gold Package made it a piece of cake! Thanks again!"

My name is Jackie Prichard and I am 25 years old. I am happily married to my husband Ryan. We have been married for 6 years. We have two beautiful daughters Madalyn, age 3, and Mallory age 1.

We started our business in November of 2004. We named it Lasting Impressions Photography. We are located in Pekin, Illinois. I guess our business goals would be to get our business off to a great start and let it keep growing. Right now we are just starting out so we don't have a lot of customers. We would like to build a customer base by providing excellent service and portraits that will be cherished for generations.

Renea Lynch
Trenton, Missouri
www.lookatmepics.com
Shuttermom Gold Package

My name is Renea Lynch, I am married to my high school sweetheart Eric.  We have three children, a daughter Taylor 13, a son Tyler 9, and a "surprise" son Tanner who will be 2 in September.  The good Lord works in mysterious ways....he's been a blessing from day one, even though we hadn't intended to have anymore children.  The baby was my inspiration for my studio name.  I was taking pictures after his bath one night while he was brushing his teeth and talking to himself in the mirror.  Didn't even have a set up, just snapshots and one of my favorites he was "puckering" to himself as if to say "look at me!".  Thus, the name I chose for my studio....Look at Me! Photography.  Everyone seems to love it so far!  I'm now in the process of building a website to share my photos with friends, family and future clients.

I have always been interested in photography and scrapbooking is one of my favorite hobbies so finding the perfect picture for a layout is kind of like finding the perfect setting for a photo.  My kids have even told me to stop taking their pictures...I'm the only mom that carries her camera to EVERY single function imaginable.  I had always dreamt of what it would be like to actually own a photography studio (never really serious about it) and how much fun it would be.  I live in a very rural area and there are only two photographers in our town who both work by appointment only.  Of course one is favored more than the other and she has even taken our family pictures.  When I found out she was leaving town to relocate, I thought "Now's my chance!"  I aspire to run my own studio in order to quit my full time j-o-b and make my own schedule to accommodate my family.  The photos I have taken in the past few weeks and have shared with friends and acquaintances have sparked interest in many and I already have 6 bookings for portraits and a chance to do photos for the Quarterback Club which is sponsored by area businesses for the fall sports season at the local high school in exchange for advertising in their publication!

I am so excited to be able to embark on this new adventure in hopes of making my dreams come true.  And after receiving my Gold Package from Shuttermom, I am no longer hesitant or second-guessing my decisions because everything is spelled out in black and white for me to make my business a success!!!  Thank you Cindy!

"I have started with the Baby Bits program and believe it will be a HUGE success!!!  I took some photos this weekend and have discovered to not delete (I use digital) the shots that don't turn out as I'd like because you can use them as snapshots to get all those great little baby parts!!!  I have made two Baby Bits so far and their mothers fell in love!!!  Thanks for the terrific ideas to help boost my business!!! Your Gold Package is a must for anyone starting a home-based (or even studio!) photography business!!  Thanks!

I looked into all the photo hosting sites included in your Gold Package and found photoreflect to be the best!!  You have done all the research for us and made the choices easy!"

LaDawn McAllister
Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
Shuttermom Gold Package
CaptivatingMomentsPhotography.com

My name is LaDawn McAllister and I live in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma (a suburb of Tulsa).  I'm 34 years old and married to a wonderful and very supportive husband, Jay.  We have two children- Quinton is 6 and Madeline is 4 years old.  I'm a speech-language pathologist by profession, but I've loved photography since I was a young girl.  I re-discovered my love of photography as a result of our son's special needs.  Over the years, his autistic tendencies have made it difficult to take him to unfamiliar and overstimulating photography studios, so I began experimenting with my camera and my son.  Some people say I take good pictures, but I think it's mostly due to my passion and perseverence!  This is what inspires me.  I have just started my photography business, Captivating Moments Photography (www.CaptivatingMomentsPhotography.com).  With this business I hope to preserve timeless memories for families in the form of touching photographs.  I don't have a studio, but instead I travel to the homes of customers, or an outdoor location of their choice.  My goal is to make it easier for the children to be themselves in a comfortable and familiar environment.  Although I don't want to restrict my business, I am also hoping to be able to serve those families with special-needs children who are difficult to photograph.  I am thrilled to have the opportunity to learn all that Cindy has to teach me with her Gold Package!  I know this will enhance my technique and my approach immensely!

" I just wanted to let you know that I have been reading non-stop.  Your Gold Package is packed with so much helpful information! I may need to e-mail you with questions, but I feel that I have a good idea of how to do things now that I've been reading your Home-Based Photography Business Manual."

"I think my confidence level has improved enough to raise my prices, which I'll post on my updated website.  So far I've mainly been doing pictures for people I know, friends of friends, etc.  I have a lot of nice pictures to post samples of on my website, and I figured that would be a good time to post new prices."

Business: Barbed Wire Designs

Goals: By day I am an editor of a magazine and graphic designer, but my goal is to have my own photography studio up and running as a full-time job within three years. I have a little girl, 22 months old, that I desperately want to be able to spend more time with and enjoy her growing up. I've figured that during the first year will be my 'establishment' year. Letting people know I'm here, what I do, what I specialize in and how much (little) I charge in comparison to the 'big guys'. My hopes are that in the two years following that I can have an average of 5-7 clients each week who will average $150-$200 sales. At this rate, I will at least match my 'regular salary' now, minus the benefits of course. By the fourth year I hope that my studio is well established and I'll be able to quit my day job and pursue my ambitions full-time. Right now I have very little overhead other than my equipment. My family owns a new store and added on to their shop just for my studio. I have no rent to pay, other than doing odd's and ends for them to help out. I don't buy any equipment on credit and pay for everything up front. I don't want to have my business consume my own credit should something not go as planned.

Website: www.barbedwiredesigns.net  I design my own website and am constantly teaching myself new ways to improve my site. I peruse other photographers sites all the time looking for new ideas. I believe that no idea is truly original, but should give credit where credit is due.

"I've looked over all of your materials, and took the advice from your '$3200 Week ' special report. Just had to report that after posting my offer/request I received one appointment in a matter of minutes!"

" I posted my offer again, sort of promoted that I was a busy mom, too and understood the need for budget friendly photography. This time I had 2 new inquiries about my photography and price list all within about 2 hours of posting. This is definitely a good hint for someone looking to find new clients other than friends and family. PLUS the one client who initially took me up on my offer after asking permission to post such an offer, posted her own 'seal of approval' because I had done a semi-pro shoot for her son. She gave a big thumbs up and highly recommended me and then sent everyone to my website to check out her son's pictures. It works!!"

"Cindy, I did want to give you another update. I have used the helpful information in your 'Themed Business' packet. I have scheduled two different weekends this fall, one in September and one in October, for a 'Fall Foliage Days.' Everything is by appointment only and I've promoted a special 'package deal' with other prints and sizes available of course. I designed a small 4x6 photo in Photoshop promoting the event and price and had about 50 of them printed up. I went through my address book and phone book and sent them to everyone with small children last week. I promoted the event so that I would have the studio set up with hay bales, fall leaves, etc and then also have outdoor sessions available with a fall setting (weather permitting). I'm planning on having a Santa come in before Christmas for a 'Tis the Season' Days. Also, this weekend my husband was out garage sale-ing and scored a beautiful little girls white wicker garden set - 2 chairs, couch, table and rocking chair. We put a fresh coat of spray paint on them and they look great! Now, I'll run to the local discount store of an inexpensive tea set and I'm all ready for a 'Tea Date' with outdoor or indoor sessions available."

Monalee Humesky
Tampa, Florida
Shuttermom Gold Package

I am an energetic mom of four kids living in Tampa, Florida. My kids are ages 18, 15, 9, and 6.

I have been a life long lover of photography ... I have one of those brains that is constantly taking photos in my mind of anything exciting or beautiful to me ... even when no camera is handy!  I bought my first SLR when I was just 18, and have not stopped taking photos since! I took several courses in college, but moved from there to being a hobbyist .... taking photos mostly for my own pleasure. I've used my love of photography in my career of public relations and special events: but in more casual ways, not as the focus of my career. I have worked as a staff photographer for a local children's magazine, and have taken photos of jazz artists that appear on the artists' websites, but am now longing to take my love of photography to the next level. My youngest will now be in school full time, so I will have the time to devote to building a career as a photographer, and with Cindy's information, I believe it will actually come true. I also value doing something I love as a career, and having the ability to be flexible with my hours, as I still desire to be active in my children's schools! In addition to portraits and candids of kids and families, I also love nature photography, and have been experimenting with putting my photos on greeting cards! I am truly excited about taking on this venture, and have every intention of turning my love of photography into a true way of life for me. Thank You Cindy!

"Hi Cindy ...Just wanted to thank you again for the great Gold package!  I've been all through it, and am going through it again - you have so much fabulous information it takes a couple of times to absorb it all! In the meantime, I've just gotten my first real backdrop, and have ordered my "beginner" light kit - it will be here next week! I am so excited! After trying a hundred different combinations ... I think I'm going with "MonaLisa's Image Art" for a business name .... next on the list will be business cards, a website .... so much to do! But I am very excited, and I know this is going to work out great! I'll keep you up to date! Thanks again!"

"Hi Cindy! Just wanted to let you know I am continuing to find your Gold Package to be an incredibly valuable tool! Your well thought out information is exactly what I needed! I'm not a beginning photographer - but I am a beginner when it comes to starting a business! You cover all of the bases in terms of how to get a business set up, where to look for professional equipment, how create policies and procedures, and how to do incredible marketing! I have applied for a corporate name, have just received my new lighting equipment, and am getting images together to get a web page done. I feel like I can't help but be successful! I'm looking forward to getting going as soon as possible! Thank you again!"

Beth McFeron
Nashville, Illinois
Shuttermom Gold Package

I am a 29 year old aspiring photographer from Nashville, Illinois.  I have a supportive husband, Darrin, and 2 beautiful children, Mackenzie age 5, and Tanner age 3.  Photography has always been my passion in life besides my family and God.  After having children I would go to a studio and get their photographs taken, usually once a month.  Before, during and after each session I would think to myself- I CAN do that, I WANT to do that.  So I began.  I started taking photographs of my own children first.  Then I moved on to family members and friends.  I want to expand my business by marketing and advertising to others.  The name I have chosen for my business is McFeron Photography. I always have my camera with me, so wherever I go I joke and say McFeron Photography is here.   Now I am trying to make that dream a reality.  By opening a home based photography studio I feel that I could provide a more comfortable environment for my customers.  I feel that I could be more flexible in where I took my portraits - my house, their house, outdoor location, etc.  I also want the flexibility of a stay at home mom while pursuing my passion of photography.  One of my goals in life is to succeed at whatever I decide to do.  Photography is what I have decided to do.  I truly believe the Shuttermom Gold Package will get my business off to an awesome start.

"Thank you soooooo much!  The Shuttermom Gold Package is wonderful!  There are so many great ideas I can't wait to get started with my business.  I really appreciated the photoshop information....the way you can add a hint of color to black and white is amazing.  I had been playing around with photoshop and wanting to do that, but I was doing it the hard way- I love your way! Thanks again!  I printed everything out and I just keep reading it!  Awesome!!!!!"

Holly Perona
Washington State
Shuttermom Gold Package

My name is Holly Perona and I live in Washington state with my wonderful husband and family.  I have a formal education in Fine Art, though being the mother of small children, my "art time" now typically involves playdough, sidewalk chalk or fingerpainting. Although I do not have a formal business established yet, I have taken many photos for family & friends.  I have always had a passion for photography…all types…of course now my favorite subjects are children. I am captivated by their innocence, curiosity and their natural love of the "little things" in life. I have immersed myself into Cindy's information, and am learning my way around PhotoShop Elements 2.0 and the digital world. I am currently working on a business plan & company name.  I could not have gotten off to a better start.  Cindy…I just want to say THANK YOU!!!!

"I just wanted to let you know that I have immersed myself into your information, amidst the daily routine with two toddlers :0) This week I auctioned off my old equipment and made enough to purchase some new upgrades. I have been price-hunting for backgrounds, lighting equipment, etc. I have learned some awesome tips for Photoshop Elements. Your article on hand-tinting is incredible! I admit...I have tried it the hard way in the past too. Your info is just amazing! This week I also made a contact at a local used children's clothing store and I am on my way! Thanks again Cindy. I really could not have done this without you." -Holly

Aithne Finley
North Bay, Canada
shuttermom gold package

Hello, my name is Aithne (pronounced Onya), however friends and others call me Jen.  (I'm currently trying to get them to stop that, but that's another story...)  I'm a 27 year old single mother of three who currently lives in North Bay, Canada.  I've been here for a year now, and found that the area has sparked a sense of creativity within me that I thought disappeared long ago.

I've been interested in photography for years now; I guess I would have been about four or five when I had my first Polaroid camera, and that started my love affair with this wonderful art form.  As much as I wanted to, however financial constraints made it impossible to do anything with this yearning that I had to make photography my life.  Formal schooling was out of the question, and I couldn't even afford a decent SLR, which I had wanted since I was twelve.  A lack of confidence in my own abilities kept me from pursuing photogrpahy without what I felt were basic necessities.

That changed a few months ago.  I had saved whatever spare change I had, and although it took me close to two years, I was finally able to purchase my very first SLR and an extra lens.  Things have just been falling into place ever since.  I sheepishly applied for a self-employment program here in order to access funding and other resources that I will need to build my business.  So now I feel as though I have finally found my way.

I registered my business name on May 19, 2005.  Since my plan is to work exclusively with children (and the occasional pregnant woman), I decided to give my business a name that honours the spirits of those whom I will be working with.  So, Indigo Child Photography was born.  Now, it's time for me to nurse her and help her to grow into the business I know that I can have.

Lynn Hollister
Lynn Hollister Photography
Houston, Texas
Shuttermom Gold Package

I have always loved pictures.  My mom made a scrapbook of me when I was little that quickly became my favorite story book because hearing the “story of me” made me feel special.  As I got older, I wanted a camera of my own to take pictures so I could make my own albums.  When my first child came along, I decided to make him a picture album like my mom had made for me.  I began taking pictures like crazy, and really became addicted to scrapbooking.  I had never taken a photography class, but people always commented on how good my pictures were.  Family and friends would often take my pictures of them and have them blown up and framed.

Now I am the mother of 4 children ages 13 to 4 and have been a public school teacher in Texas for 19 years.  I have taught everything from speech, theater and journalism to language arts.  I resigned my teaching position in May of 2004 to be a stay-at-home mom.  During this past year, I have done a great deal of thinking about what is my real passion in life.  At this point I knew it wasn’t teaching anymore.  What was I going to do when I finished teaching? What other career would be right for me?  I have always enjoyed making and creating things like my photo albums, and I have always felt that there was an artist buried deep inside somewhere waiting to get out.

This spring when my daughter’s soccer pictures came in, I was horrified at how bad they were and how much money I had spent for such poor quality.  I was very disappointed.  It was then that I made the comment that I could have done a much better job and my husband said, “Why don’t you?”  He encouraged me to talk to the people at the local YMCA to see what it would take to get the job taking sports pictures.  I had a lot of fear about doing this, because remember; I have not had any formal photography training or courses.  But, I talked to the guy anyway and acted like I knew what I was doing.  He asked to see some pictures I had taken of soccer this past year.  I brought him a sample of my work, and he said he would definitely let me take basketball pictures this fall.  I was shocked and scared.  I was still using a point and shoot digital camera.  Since then, I have continued to walk through my fears and take it one day at a time.  I now have a Nikon D70, a website, business cards, and have sold my first picture.  I have learned how to use Photoshop, and I have spent countless hours researching on the net and reading everything I can about photography.  I spend time each day studying the websites of other photographers looking at their style.  I also spend time each week taking pictures and looking at my own mistakes with lighting, posing, and composition.  There is still so much to learn, but I have never been this fascinated by anything else in my life.

I have enjoyed my year off, but I do miss working.  I still have 5 years I have to teach to receive full teacher retirement when I am 60, so I am planning to go back in the next year or two.  I recently passed the Excet test for elementary language arts, reading, and social studies; so when a position comes available in my daughters’ elementary school, I will return to teaching and finish out my 5 years.  Until that time, I am going to work hard on getting my photography business going.  My goal is to take the money from teaching to buy more and more equipment so that after the five years I can do photography full time.  I figure as long as I can still see and hold a camera, I can keep working.  It really doesn’t seem like work when you love what you are doing.

"I spent all of July and August taking pictures of children and teens in my neighborhood in an effort to get more experience and build a portfolio of my work.  I did all of the work for free and gave the kids 2 sheets of wallets with a sticker of my information on the back.  My thought was that they would pass them out to their friends at school and get my name out in the community.  I also created coupons and donated them for a drawing at a local event.  So far no one has called to cash in on the coupon.  I also volunteered to be the historian / scrapbook keeper for my daughter’s after school choral group, plus I am taking pictures at church for them to use as needed for publications.  I felt that I could be of service to others and get experience at the same time.  Many people have seen me taking pictures that never knew I was into photography, and it has given me an opportunity to tell others about my business.  In September I did head shots for 200 teens in the theater department in the local high school where I previously taught.  This was great experience.  I also attended a dress rehearsal for a musical and took candid shots of the kids on stage and created a montage for them.  I have also taken some outdoor senior portraits and some family portraits.  In October I was asked to take pictures at Senior Recognition Night during the last football game of the season.  That earned a nice profit.  Last weekend I took shots of my best friend’s daughter in her cheerleading outfit.  She invited two of her cheerleading friends to come along which might mean more sales for me!!!  I have also done two parties where I took candid shots and put them on a CD for the client.  My next project is basketball pictures for the local YMCA.  I have decided to start out doing many different things to see what I like doing the best.  So far my favorite part is creating montages and water color paintings with Adobe Photoshop.  My friend loved the cheerleading collages I made of her daughter.  When things are slow, I spend time working on ideas for creative art pieces that will increase my future sales.  I guess I really have been busy.  I think that I will be able to pay back my “loan” from Visa by the end of the year for the Nikon that I bought in May."

“A picture is worth a thousand words” that is a quote that says it all for Fatima and I. We want to be able to capture all the moments of one’s life that are deemed important to them and create long lasting memories. Our company, Elite Pictures, is a relatively new photography business that was birthed out of our church, Victory Church in Jesus Christ, in Staten Island, NY.

We had been talking with our Pastor about ways to generate money for our Missions Fund. The Mission Fund in our church goes to churches primarily in Africa that need our help. Fatima mentioned taking pictures for Mother’s Day and selling them. Our pastor said to run with it. Without a camera, printer, backdrop or even experience we jumped in head first. Our pastor provided us with a 3.2 megapixel digital camera, his printer, and his laptop and we were off. At the last minute we realized we needed a backdrop so Fatima took her son’s dark blue curtain and taped it up to the wall. Who would of known you could never tell the difference. Although that day is long behind us, it was in that very moment when I was editing and printing the pictures that we realized that we had found something we truly enjoyed doing and that we could make money from it.

We have since taken more shots for our church, a few weddings and some portrait shots. We have been doing research on the type of equipment, marketing tools, presentation packages, etc. that will make us a top of the line photography business. We realize that all things have to start somewhere and we are pressing toward the top.

As mothers, wives with full time jobs and active members in our church, we have a huge amount of responsibility on our shoulders. We want to let this business give us the opportunity to leave our present careers of education and dentistry and work when we want to work so we can have more time for the precious things in life.

We realize that we have limited experience in the profession right now, but we believe with a willingness to experiment and learn, a positive attitude and the Lord on our side all things are possible. We believe that in 1 years time we will have a well known, reputable, and booming portrait business. Thank you Cindy for having the confidence in us, and giving us that needed push.

Shuttermom Gold Package

I've only actually  been in business for 6 months, and work from my home or my clients'.
I bought your Shuttermom Library back in February, and it has helped me tremendously! I have been staying at home since my "little devil" was born, and desparately wanted to continue to do so.  However, cutting our income in half and adding all those extra baby expenses was more difficult than we thought.  After Peyton's first year, and 1000+ pictures(My husband, Trey tells everyone that he works so I can develop film!...he's lucky that I don't shoot film!!)  that had gotten progressively better....I talked him into letting me have our tax refund to buy your system, a new camera, and the absolute basics!! I'm actually using "homemade" lighting (http://www.studiolighting.net/category/studio-lighting-on-the-cheap/)..and, get this: a GARMENT RACK from Target for $25, although, I have finally made enough money to get a "real" backdrop, which I got on Ebay for next to nothing!, with Walmart Clearance Fabric as backdrops!! I'm glad to be upgrading, b/c it certainly takes lots of improvising! I have been a "picture fanatic" since I was very young...I remember being 8 or 9 years old and getting one of those rectangle shaped, 110 film cameras, and took so many pictures, my parents gave me a weekly developing limit!! :)

I have done a few portrait parties and a few baby bits, but not as many as I'd hoped, your information on marketing though has given me renewed ideas. I do now have a store shoot scheduled for September! Despite that, I really have been way busier than I expected!! I even  have my first wedding in August and two more in October!! I'm a little nervous, but really excited!

I'm absolutely loving doing this and I really am making some money.  We're almost ahead again...and as long as this keeps up, I can continue to stay home, raise Peyton and even have more!! So I would say that's the best motivation in the world!! Your system has helped me tremendously, from ideas, to technical information to legal information! I really don't think I could have done this without you!! My website is under construction, but check it out: www.photobytara.com and I'm also using www.photographybytara.photoreflect.com for free proofing...again, thanks to you!

Shuttermom Gold Package

My wife and I have just started our own photography business. We have been together since high-school and married for just over 15 months. We are still in the process of sorting out what to do with our lives but we know for sure that working 40 hours a week for the next 40 years is not something we are keen on. Anita studied photography after school and I studied 3D animation so we are both creative people and would like to be creative for a living. We can produce some pretty amazing pictures and want to start doing it on a professional level. We have invested some money into studio equipment and have setup in our garage. We are looking forward to this new venture and stage in our lives. Good luck to all the other aspiring photographers!

Shuttermom Gold Package

My name is Michelle Kilander, I am wife of 5 years and a mother of 2 beautiful children ages 4 and 1. I started in photography when I was 18 and have been doing it ever since. I started out in the studio inside a Super Center and worked my way up to being a production manager for a very well known photographer in town. It wasn't until a year ago that my family and friends kept telling me that I needed to start thinking about opening my own studio and do the pictures myself. With that in mind, I took the plunge this year and named my business Heirloom Photography. I am still in the beginning stage and I want to thank Cindy for the Gold Package that I received from her. It helped me so much with the decision making process and how to start the business up. I am anxious to officially get my studio going and soon hope to become my towns NEW well known photographer. Thanks again Cindy for all your help.
