I started Shuttermom.com in the summer of 2004 with the goal of helping photographers become more successful and profitable in their businesses. Since then, I've helped hundreds of photographers make their dreams come true!

After starting my own home-based portrait photography business , I discovered that success in photography not only depends on your talent, but on unique, out of the ordinary marketing techniques. These techniques took my business from a part-time sideline to a full-time, money-making success! I believe they can work for you, too!

Whether you are dreaming of beginning your own photo business, just starting out, or are a pro searching for new ideas, Shuttermom can help. You can be making more money as a portrait photographer in a matter of days!

frequently asked questions

1. Is your information just for women? What about "shutter-dads?"

I get this question quite often! All of my business and marketing ideas will work for men as well as women. Nothing is gender-specific, so don't let the "shutterMOM" name fool you!

2. What photography equipment do you use?

My camera is the Canon 20D. I love it! For studio lighting, I use alien bees B800's. You can check them out at www.alienbees.com.
